Learning grammar is one of the most difficult things for Korean language learners. On this blog, we will try to help you learn Korean grammar in the quickest and easiest way possible. This blog will be helpful for those who are studying the Korean language and want to improve their grammar skills.

Today, we’ll see how to form sentences with the grammar pattern “(으)ㅂ시다,” along with some example sentences.

This grammar pattern is used formally to express a proposition, suggestion, or command to a group of two or more. It is equivalent to saying “Let’s (verb)” or “Shall we (verb)” in English.

How to conjugate (으)ㅂ시다 grammar pattern?

No.

Pattern

Case

Example

1

Verb + ㅂ시다

If the word has final consonant (받침) or ㄹ

2

Verb + (으)ㅂ시다

When the verb stem either does not have a 받침 or ends with ㄹ, ㅂ시다 is used.
