  • Hi Satish, thanks for this list! It’ll come in useful when I start preparing for TOPIK. May I check what’s the difference between 촉촉하다 & 축축하다 in terms of application in sentences?

    • Okay 촉촉하다 is a Positive Term of “How Wet or How Moist” For Food and Skin It is Adjective form describing how much wet it is Since your Describing the object that is already wet.

not to Desccribe the Object is Actually Wet.

피부가 촉촉하다 The Skin is Glossy(Moisturized)
케이크가 촉촉하다 The Cake is Moist (Mushy) Focusing on the Subject how wet it is.
There is no exact translation for 촉촉하다

축축하다 is a Negative Term of “How Wet or How Moist”
For Wet Shoes , Wet Blanket, Wet Clothes,
신발이 축축하다 Shoes are Soaked( Wet)
      이불이 축축하다 Blanket is wet

  • These words are in verb form for some reason. -하다 means “to do” and is used to give unconjugated forms of verbs. Adjectives should end in -인, -은, -운, etc so they describe an object or thing rather than talking about an action.
