Dr. Satish Satyarthi
This is a very Important update for all TOPIK test takers. From year 2011 this test will be conducted and managed by NIIED (National Institute for International Education) 국립국제교육원, which is a Korean government organization affiliated with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. NIIED is basically responsible for management of education related programs of Korean government like EPIK and TALK, fostering relationships with educational institutions in other countries, managing various scholarships and cultural exchange programs at international level.
But this is not the important update I am going to talk about. 🙂
As we all know, www.topik.or.kr is the official website of TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean). The URL of this websites has changed. Now it is www.topik.go.kr and looks like below:
TOPIK New Website
I would say that the new website is much better than the older one. It haven’t gone through the whole website yet but at the first sight it appears to have more user friendly menus with a beautiful template. Like before, the website is mainly in English but the guidance about the test has been provided in 9 languages:
  • English
  • Japanese
  • Chinese
  • Spanish
  • Russian
  • German
  • French
  • Mongolian
  • Vietnamese
And if you check the guide section you would agree with me that it has got much better than the previous website. The website is still incomplete; certain sections are not working, like display of previous results. But NIIED is working over it and they say it will be completely ready till January, 2011.

  • I want to take the test in Delhi in India, but I cannot find any details on the official TOPIK site of the “affiliate organisation” that organises the test in India. Any ideas?

    • You can contact Korean Embassy in Delhi. TOPIK is conducted in April every year in Delhi Univ or JNU campus.
