You may have noticed that the official TOPIK website, is currently unavailable, making it impossible to check results, register for exams, or print certificates. We understand the current situation and want to provide some clarity on a matter that is causing a lot of concern within the Korean language community.
This disruption is a direct result of a recent fire at a major government IT facility. On September 26, 2025, a fire broke out at the National Information Resources Service (NIRS) data center in Daejeon, South Korea. This incident, which originated from a lithium-ion battery, shut down hundreds of government digital services, including the systems that manage the TOPIK website. The fire led to the suspension of 647 government systems.
The fire, which reportedly lasted for around 22 hours, caused significant damage. As a result, critical functions like online registration, printing proof of registration, and the issuance of score reports are all currently unavailable. The government has apologized for the inconvenience and has stated that it may take weeks to fully restore all systems.
We know how important it is for you to access your results and prepare for upcoming tests. We at TOPIK GUIDE are here to help you in the meantime with your TOPIK test preparations. Please be assured that we are closely monitoring the situation, and we will update you as soon as the official website is back online.
